Any day now
By. Cindyk. Any day now … I keep thinking someone is going to come out and remove the old rusted up street light in front of the Cazenovia Library that I’ve been blogging about:
After another winter of plowing and salting, we won’t have to wait on the city of Buffalo to take this pole down, it’ll come down on it’s own.
Over the past few months I’ve seen a lot of rust, and crumbling concrete and road surfaces. Aren’t there PRETTY places in South Buffalo?
I think there are. May I suggest that you point your camera at a few of them so that your audience doesn’t get the wrong impression? I would love to see some point/counterpoint between winter scenes and the same ones come Spring.

I’m sorry BBD. You’re right, there’s a lot of good things in South Buffalo. This street light pole has me concern for public safety because it’s rusted-out at the base. (political) People tell me it’s going to be taken care of,
but it’s still the same as its been.

I think some parts of South Buffalo are absolutely beautiful. I love the park and the creek. It is a shame that there are people who do not respect this area. Especially after picturing what it could look like without the graffiti on the walls of the creek.
It is disturbing to go to the creek and run into all of the broken beer bottles, empty bags of chips, toddlers juice boxes, soda and beer cans, and even clothing! It would be a good idea for the parks to add a garbage bin in the creek area. Maybe that would encourage people to dispose of their garbage properly! I am sick of worrying about our children & innocent adults getting hurt over this trash. Obviously they would have to chain the bin down, because I can see an irresponsible person throwing it into the water.
So basically I suggest that a group is formed to paint over the vulgar graffiti, clean up the park (especially the creek area) and get the park division to installed install a garbage bin in that part of the park, where it is often visited!
