in the meantime local businesses fall short of government support
By: Cindyk. I left an opinion comment on the FreeNY blog a little while ago. I'm reposting it here with pictures to make a better/visual point.

Joe, I think it’s a matter of prioritizing.
Our government doesn’t have to spend our tax money to “invest” in order to have a billion-dollar corporation *think* about settling here. All of our money that they want to give away to “Cash Pros Hop” (that’s what I like calling it) our elected leaders could be investing it into more local businesses. …. and not via that BERC crap. The same for New Era… The Church. They all have their hand out asking “gimme, gimme” of our money.

In prioritizing, our money can be used to fix our roads & bridges in Buffalo. Our money could be used help rebuild neighborhoods dying for some economic growth like it had before. All over the COB we have empty store fronts that were once healthy businesses… they can be once again if our government officials can learn how to prioritize our money.
One of the first 5 things said when taking about leaving NYS, there are no good paying jobs here. “Good” being the key word. Cash Pros will only bring minimum wage jobs, in the meantime local businesses fall short of government support.
