Day 15: Caz St. the other side
I didn't post a 14th day yesterday because most of the work has been the same. Building the frame for the garden on Caz/Seneca and tearing out old sidewalks on the opposite corner of Caz/North Legion.

… but how much will it cost in tax dollars?
The Corner of Seneca and Cazenovia will become a new South Buffalo Welcome Center. A garden on Caz St. and a new light up sign in the M&T Bank Parking lot on Seneca. Our tax dollars are hard at work to finally bring something good to Seneca Street and South Buffalo.

Updating a post made last week based on information left in a comment.
I’m not sure how it being next to a church makes it more or less deplorable than if it were next to a home or business, but, in any event, your beef appears as if should be with Time Warner/Adelphia. The only thing attached to that old partial pole is the cable televison equipment. It appears as if National Grid/NiMo installed a new utility pole (Verizon and Time Warner “rent” space on National Grid’s poles.) All electric service and telephone service appears to have been transferred to the new pole. Cable service has not been. I suspect National Grid notified Time Warner (or Adelphia) and has been waiting for them to come out and attach to the new pole. When that is done, the old pole segment can be removed.
Returning to the pole today, I took a better picture from a different angle.

It's the end of the day and the end of Cazenovia Street (at Seneca). The last of the old sidewalks have been dug out. It's still a work in progress though.

It's not quite a finished product yet, but the picture on the left was taken back in December (when we didn't have any snow) and the one on the right was taken today. Even though the street (itself) hasn't been touched yet, you can still see the difference being made on Cazenovia Street.
Today was more concrete pouring, this time for the new driveways. It won't be long and the crew will start the same work on the other side of Cazenovia Street.
Now that Cazenovia Street is getting what is long over due, I want to set some focus on a little side street one block away. It's an average length city block off Seneca Street. It's also a deadend street needing some of the same attention. Click here to see the Seneca Parkside slideshow.

I thought I'd try something new with the pictures I'm taking along Cazenovia Street. I set up a bubble share account. HT Chris Byrd for using it.

I walk past this streetlight everyday, I didn't notice until today it too has a missing plate exposing its wires. Pole #2239 on Seneca Street is added to my growing list of missing streetlight covers. Is the city taking them because these poles are going to be replaced soon? If that is true, why are plates missing on North Legion Drive? Is someone stealing them for scrap metal like the drain covers from a few months back? These are the first biggest questions I have.
